Rugby world cup

Yesterday I went to the rugby world cup game,Ireland v Russia at the Rotorua International stadium. The game went for about two hours.
I nearly made a Mexican wave but the people in the seats were lazy and did not do it but I still had fun.
There were a lot of people cheering for Ireland including me and my family.
It took a long time to get ready because everyone got their face painted.

Weekly diary

Angus and Campbell worked on this project very patiently today as the computer was painfully slow. They did a great job of taking photos throughout the week but it was just taking far too long to upload them today , here is a small sample of what we did this week.

Goldentime today

We had electronics for Goldentime and Ryleah, George ,Alyssa and Dan were having a canoe race on the Wii.

Today Sophie, Daniel P. and Jorja made Pizza Boats with Mrs McKenzie. We used our new cooking trolley. The class and Mr Macmillan tried the pizzas and everyone agreed they were yummy.

Today we were learning about Global influences on us here in New Zealand. Firstly we needed to find out what influence meant. We also found some synonyms.

Room 9 hopes you have a nice birthday. Sarah says a special happy birthday and she'll see you after school.

Sophie and Campbell's RWC video

Sophie and Campbell have used our Flip video camera to get some reasons why we like having the RWC here in NZ.


We are getting better at holding the camera still and it is now easier to put the video clips together on the computer.

We have learnt that we need to pause before pressing stop at the end of recording as the clips overlap when they are all put together.

Today we have been learning about Apostles and Disciples. Joshua has listed the 11 od the 12 Apostles here. Can you see which one he has left off?

Sophie and Jorja's raisin face

Today Sophie and Jorja made a fantastic face out of a pancake and a few raisins.Dosent it look cool and funny. Sophie came up with the idea by imagining it and picturing it in her head.Jorja decorated it.

Cupcake day!

On Thursday room9 hade a cupcake day yum. We were raising money so we can join Mathletics. We raised well over $200 - thanks everyone who made or bought cupcakes.

Today Daniel wore some rugby clothes in preparation for the World Cup starting on Friday.

On Friday our school is all wearing their World Cup colours to show support for their country.
