Why you should come to Rotorua.

We are writing persuasive letters to tell people why they should come to Rotorua for a visit. Here are some of the reasons why you should visit our great city.
"You can do whitewater rafting." Nicole
"It's quiet here in Rotorua, you can even hear the birds." Hannah.
"You can go fishing on one of our many wonderful lakes and catch a big rainbow trout." Angus
"You can go mountainbiking in in our clean forests, within five minutes you will tearing down the best single tracks in the world - and it's free!" George.
"You can do lots of fun adventure activities." Sophie.

Lachlan - Our very own World Champ

Yesterday we had a camera crew from Close Up in our class filming Lachlan. We already know Lachlan is great but next week they will tell the whole country.
Today we had wheels day to help clelebrate Lachlan's big win and he rode through all the students at school so they could show appreciation for his win.

Can you believe it snowed in Rotorua today?

This morning it snowed, it was windy , freezing and icy.
We missed maths because we got to go out to play in the snow.
It was a light flurry of snow and we had great fun playing in it although it felt freezing.

I wish it would snow all day "Ryleah"
It did not last long "Finn"
We loved playing in the snow "Angus"
Why could it not last all day? "Nicole"
The snow tasted like foam. " Lachlan"
I didn't like it when it went in to my eyes "Alyssa"

An Olympic champion visited us yesterday.

Rob Waddel, an Olympic Rowing champion spoke to the school yesterday. Rob told us about his life and how hard he had to work to achieve his goals. He said that he rowed over 15,000,000 strokes during his training for the Olympics.
Hannah thinks that she couldn't row that fast.
