Our magnificent baking day.

Yesterday we baked some delicious bread with Mrs Walsh. Firstly we set up the ingredients and pots and pans, then we mixed the ingredients.
Next we put the mixture into a silver tray and wrapped it in glad wrap to rise.
After it had risen we shaped it and added nuts and raisins to make faces.

Today we went into the School vege garden and planted out our beans. Our beans have been growing in our room since 18.5.10 and we felt that it was time we set them free.

Week 5 Term 3

School cross country

Today we had the cross country at the Redwoods, Campbell won the year 3 boys and Ngaio won the year 4 girls. I came 10th in the Year 3 girls.

Water springs trip.

On Wendesday the middle school classes went to the water springs near Pukehangi. We learnt that chlorine can kill bad germs in the water. We also learnt that the water coming from a spring is 100 years old.Then we found out that our water in our taps is better then what you buy at the supermarket.It was great fun.

We have been busy doing lots of learning like - writing narratives, using a ruler to measure in cm and mm, how much water we use each day and the 7 Sacraments.
We guess you won't be doing the crosscountry on Thursday.

Term 3 Week 4 diary

Celebrations

Today in R.E. we were investigating different celebrations. We discussed and listed the different celebrations and the rituals and celebrations of each one. This is helping us understand the Sacraments.

Making rainbows

Today Dolphins reading group were learning to summarise texts and we read about how a rainbow is formed.
We went to the gardens and made our own rainbow.
We wonder where the pot of gold is???
