Kiwi's reading group making connections

We have been making connections to what we have read. These connections could be to other books, our lives or something we have seen. Making connections helps us understand what we have read because we can make sense of it.

On Saturday I played tennis at the Rotorua tennis club. I got my picture taken and it got in to the daily post. I felt like a star when I saw my self in the paper.

Kayse has had his face painted by Mrs Waititi in preparation for the production next week.

On Sunday I met Valerie Adams and held her medal. I also got in the newspaper. She was really tall. It was really fun!!! I got her autograph.

Coconut mice

Today Hannah, Charlotte R and Charlotte H made coconut mice. The whole class is having a competition. The competition is to bake something in a group and then Mr James is to judge our baking. Our group is called the crazy cookies. Another thing was that we have to make a comic life. I wonder who is going to win.
